Taking Risks

We are checking in and seeing how everyone is doing with keeping up with their other classes and who has homework that needs to be done as a reminder that we (Artbuilds) supports and encourages that the other areas of academics is not left behind while working on Artbuilds.

The skills from other classes will be used at some point as part of the skills needed for Artbuilds, here a student shares a story, while later we did a team building activity.  See some of the risks that are involved.

First week at La Escuelita

We here at La Escuelita are very excited to begin the conceptualization process this week. Our students have gone through the orientation process and are ready to start brainstorming themes for the build. Our core areas of curriculum involved in this process are: art, writing, and math. Our staff is very eager to get the students involved in this interdisciplinary project, and we are ready to get the ball rolling.

We will be posting videos via Flip cameras and Youtube. In addition, the students will be working on writing skills in the way of blogging during the project.
